MGM Charitable Trust is a nonprofit humanitarian organization dedicated to uplifting the impoverished. The project is managed by the MGM Group in Chennai, with an aim to lead those with dwindling hopes to a brighter, better future
It is also involved in educating the disadvantaged rural children who otherwise have no access to academic resources. The Trust is also involved in building schools where educational opportunities are unavailable. These benefits are made available to all sections of society irrespective of caste, creed and religion
MGM India Benefit Fund donated an Electrical Generator to the Little Sisters of the Poor, Chetpet – a Home for the Poor. MGM independently runs ST. JOHN DE BRITTO HOME FOR Aged Women near Kovalam. This home provides a warm atmosphere necessary for aged and orphaned women and transforms their lives by providing them basic amenities like food, clothing, infrastructure and education of higher standard
MGM has also taken a revolutionary step towards improving the facilities of neighboring villages in Tamilnadu especially in Villupuram district.
Some of the initiatives being:

Laying of roads and installing lights
•
Planting of trees across the roads
•
Supplying books, local magazines and dailies to a local village library
•
Supplement of Electrical lights and other infrastructure facilities to village panchayats & temples
•
Funding for refurbishment of temples in and around the village area
•
Free food for poor and the aged
Apart from the above social services, the Group is actively engaged in bringing up new initiatives to help the poor and the needy.
